Steven A. Kreloff is the speaker on Verse by Verse Radio, and the Pastor/Teacher at Lakeside Community Chapel in Clearwater, Florida. He joined the staff at the Chapel in 1976, and became Pastor/Teacher in 1981, 25 years ago. The emphasis of his ministry, from the beginning, has been the expository teaching of the Bible. Those who know him best say his teaching is well balanced between the true meaning of any biblical text and its proper application for today.
Pastor Kreloff is a Jewish Christian who, while a student at the University of South Florida, received Jesus as Messiah, Savior. After a time of adjustment to his decision, Steve felt it would be wise to consider furthering his education in Chicago and the Moody Bible Institute. It was known that they had a well-known Jewish Studies program.
Pastor Kreloff went to Chicago and, while completing the requirements for graduation from the Institute, met Michele, a student from Minneapolis, who later became his wife. Together they have ministered through the Lakeside Chapel and made an impact on the Clearwater area. The Lakeside Community Chapel’s emphasis is sound Bible teaching, missions and evangelism.
Pastor Kreloff is also a graduate of the Tampa Bay Theological Seminary which is now The Dallas Theological Seminary, Tampa Bay. He has been a contributing editor for the magazine, "Israel My Glory," and has written for other magazines including "Masterpiece." Pastor Kreloff has authored two books: God’s Plan for Israel, a Study of Romans 9-11, and Expository Preaching and Teaching.
Pastor Kreloff serves on the Mission Board of Aurora Ministries, and he and Mrs. Kreloff have also ministered extensively to correctional chaplains through seminars across the nation.
They are the parents of three children who love and serve Christ. Pastor Kreloff is an enthusiastic marathon runner. Elsewhere on this site, you will find an article by his son, Ben, that tells about his father’s athletic prowess.
Our Desire to Glorify God Our ultimate desire is to glorify God. Jesus said, "Let your light so shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven."(Matthew 5:16)
"Walking in the light of His Word," has become a catchword for fulfilling our ultimate desire. Learning how to "walk" involves several basic ideas, including:
The Bible: We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, absolutely inerrant, authoritative, and infallible.
The Godhead: We believe in one God existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-equal and eternal.
The Deity of Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, which is to say He is God in human flesh.
Salvation: We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ as the Savior who shed His blood and bore our sins in His body on the cross.
Resurrection of Christ: We believe Jesus Christ rose from the dead in the body in which He was crucified.
The Holy Spirit: We believe in the deity, person, and work of the Holy Spirit to regenerate, indwell, eternally keep, and control all believers.
The Great Commission: We believe that the church is an elect company of believers commissioned by Jesus Christ to make disciples of all nations by evangelizing the lost and edifying the saved.
The Eternal State: We believe in heaven as the eternal home of the redeemed and in hell as the place of everlasting conscious torment and punishment for the unredeemed.
